The Bargain Coffin

When Daddy was still alive he kept mentioning about the details on how he wanted to be buried. He was reminding us everyday to look for a nice but cheap funeral service because we'll be availing twice the amount of an average price of a funeral service because he wanted to have 2 wakes, one here in Angeles City and another in Quezon City. I wonder how our Mom can survive this staggering funeral expenses. Not to mention all her expenses used in Dad's hospitalization that includes chemotheraphy, cobalt/linear sessions, monthly Zometa, hospital admissions, lab works, ctscans etc..

And to our surprise, Mom lost her job because her "alaga" for 8 years died already. But one day, Lolo Zaldy (Ima's cousin) came to visit Daddy and he was mentioning that he's gonna help us with the coffin, I don't know how or where..I didn't care. As long as there's someone whom I trust who is willing to give his ample time to extend his helping hands.

What I didn't know was one of our Titas, Tita Lina (Cordero side) owns a coffin factory in Sto.Tomas, Pampanga. She gave us a "kamag-anak" price, just imagine how cheap that was! Furthermore, Lolo Zaldy was the one who made the casket himself of course with the help of his team. It's a cost next to nothing coffin!

And to finally sum it up, we didn't need to look for funeral services here in Angeles City. Because Tito Ambet, Tita Lina's brother owns a funeral service in Tarlac. Heaven was surely helping us!
