I always encounter problems when I do my make up. I have oily eyelid creases that is why I am looking for a nice eyeshadow primer. I was even planning to buy expensive ones. I heard about Urban Decay Primer Potion, E.L.F. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer, Etude House Proof 10 Eyeshadow Primer and the likes. So I was doing my research and encountered cheap eye primers until I came across one blog wherein she mentioned about using her lip balm as her eyeshadow primer. I immediately looked for my lip balms and found one, but it was a minty lip balm! I wouldn't dare put it on my lids! I have 4 make up kits by the way, so it took me less than 30 minutes to finally laid my hands on my Victoria Secret Limeberry Double Balm Stick.
1. I applied a thin layer of Victoria Secret Limeberry Balm Stick over my lids to coat the skin evenly so as to prepare the surface for eyeshadow application. Blended the lip balm by patting the area using my fingertips.
2. I then did my foundation application. I used my Mac Studio Fix Foundation-NC40 using Essence of Beauty Finishing Brush.
3. I applied eyeshadow as usual.
4. Waited for a few minutes to check if it really works.
After 4 hours, no smudges. no oily creases. The eyeshadow did not settle in the creases, it didn't flake. My eyeshadow appeared fresh and I didn't do touch ups. I think I'm gonna settle for this one first. It sure does wonders to my oily lids. Some put eyeshadow right after the primer that why they say it feels heavy and sticky. My lip balm goes along very well with my Mac Foundation, it feels silky and light. I hope this works for you as well.
